Evening Primrose is a plant of the genus Epilobium, called as Oenothera erythrosepala Borb. is well known as Wild Sesame, a annual perennial plant.

Evening Primrose oil is one of the nutritional plant oils of Jiashis Brand Products, is obtained from natural processing of the seed of evening primrose.

Evening Primrose oil is a natural source of polyunsaturated fatty acids. The composition of the fatty acids are: Palmitic acid 4.0-8.0%, Stearic acid 0.5-3.0%, Oleic acid 4.7-15.0%, Linoleic acid 66.0-82.0%, Gamma Linolenic acid (GLA) 8.0-12.0%.

The oil contains a kind of omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) called Gamma Linolenic Acid(GLA for short).
